Here is a recipe for yummy pasta dish that you can make for dinner in 15 minutes. You can use other type of pasta if you want.
The one thing to be careful about with cooking this dish is that you need to save the starchy water that you cooked pasta in and add it to the dish later to make it moist to your liking.
If the dish is too watery, just cook it for another minute to thicken.
Also this meal needs to be eaten straight away, because it dries out quickly.
Spaghetti with Carrot Turmeric Sauce
Servings 4 portions
- 250 grams of spaghetti
- 2 carrots (180 grams)
- 3 garlic cloves⠀
- 200 ml of cooking cream⠀
- 1 tea spoon of turmeric powder
- Black pepper⠀
- Olive oil⠀
- Fresh chives or Parsley
- Grated cheese on top
- Roughly grate carrots and peel, then crush garlic.Add spaghetti to salty boiling water and cook until done, then drain but save some starchy water.
- In this time cook crushed garlic and grated carrot on olive oil for a minute or two while stirring. Then add in about 2 dl of water from pasta and cook for 2 minutes, until the carrot is soft. Add in cooking cream and season with salt, turmeric, black pepper and cook for a minute more.
- Add in chopped chives and then stir in cooked pasta. Add more pasta water if it gets too thick. Serve immediately. ⠀Sprinkle with grated hard cheese on top if you want and enjoy.
