This is the recipe for delicious cookies with festive spices, honey and glowing crystals. They are soft in the inside and a bit crunchy on the outside when they are fresh. But they do get softer with time.
The picture really doesn’t do them justice, because you can’t see the glitter, but I assure you, it is there. They look so much better in real life. They sparkle nicely as we garnished them with sugar. I love that these cookies are really aromatic and these are very special and perfect for the upcoming holidays.

Sparkling Honey Cookies
Servings 2 baking trays
Ingredients
- 250 grams of flour⠀
- half a bag of baking powder / 7 grams⠀
- 1 teaspoon of ginger powder⠀
- 1 teaspoon of cloves powder⠀
- 1,5 teaspoons of cinnamon powder⠀
- 0,5 teaspoon of nutmeg powder⠀
- pinch of salt⠀
- 150 grams of butter⠀
- 100 grams of granulated sugar⠀
- 60 grams of honey⠀
- 1 egg⠀
- vanilla essence⠀
- 40 grams of granulated sugar to sparkle it up
Instructions
- Mix soft butter with sugar to make it creamy, then add egg, vanilla flavor and honey and stir.⠀
- In another bowl combine dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt.) Then add dry ingredients into prepared butter mixture to connect all the ingredients. It comes out sticky.⠀
- Place the dough for 1 hour in the fridge.⠀
- With the help of a teaspoon and your hands shape little balls and roll them in sugar then place on a baking tray with baking paper. Leave some space between the cookie balls as they will spread. ⠀
- Bake at 170 degrees Celsius for up to 12 minutes or when you see they get a little color at the bottom edge. Take them out of the oven and allow to cool and harden, then they can be moved.
