Yummy, sweet, crunchy, soft and red velvet cookie recipe with white chocolate that is super easy to bake.

I love the red velvet fascination and these cookies turned out really nice. They are a bit on the sweet side, so don’t have too much of them. Cookies are lovely to look at and have a crunchy outside but soft inside and the smell really sweet.

Make sure you incorporate the color in evenly. And once they come out of the oven, they are very soft so don’t try to pick them up straight away, because they will just fall apart. After they are cold down, they get firm.

Red Velvet White Chocolate Cookies

Cook Time 30 minutes
Servings 25 cookies

  • 130 grams of butter
  • 150 grams of sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 250 grams of flour
  • 7 grams of baking powder (half a bag)
  • 15 grams of cocoa powder
  • pinch of salt
  • vanilla aroma
  • red food dye (I used one Dr. Oetker Food Colour Gel Red, 10g)
  • 200 grams of white chocolate drops (or chopped)

  • Take softened butter and whip it up with sugar. Add in the egg and whip. Then add cocoa powder, pinch of salt, vanilla aroma and red food dye (I used one Dr. Oetker Food Colour Gel Red, 10g) and mix.
  • Then add in flour and baking powder and mix. I like to finish with kneading the dough with my hands on kitchen counter. Especially if the color is not blended in nicely.
  • At the end incorporate white chocolate drops, you knead it in little by little. You can leave your dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator if you want or just go to baking straight away.
  • Shape cookie balls with your hand (about 1 table spoon of the dough) and place them on baking tray with baking paper. Leave enough space to let them spread.
Bake for 10 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius and take them out of the oven and leave them until cooled down so that they will get firm.
