I have fond memories of this dish from my student life in Ljubljana, but since I left the capital and live in a smaller town, there is no good burek pizza nearby.<\/p>\n<p>So I started preparing it at home and I am very happy with the end result.<\/p>\n<p>This photo of the burek is from the first try and looks a bit dry because it was. I have made them several times so far and improved the recipe.<\/p>\n<p>It is really necessary to moisten each layer, I usually just coated it with my hand. And as for the edges, don\u2019t forget to moisten the edges as these like to dry out. After the first attempt at preparation, you will surely get the feeling for the next time if it is not juicy enough. block;\">First, grate the ham and cheese on a grater. Drain the champignons and cut into smaller pieces. Stir in the tomato puree some oregano and a pinch of salt and pepper.<\/span><\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-4607-step-0-1\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\"><span style=\"display: block;\">Coat a round pizza pan with a diameter of 32 cm with oil, then place the first layer of filo dough on it and coat it with oil, then place the second layer of dough on it. Then it depends on the number of layers of filo dough you have, how many you will stack. The bottom layer of dough, looking over the baking tray, is left to fold at the end, the rest is always folded into the baking tray and moisten  either with the filling (take turn adding ham, cheese, champignons and tomato sauce, or even mix them a little) oil or water to make the burek juicy and not dry. Be extra general around edges. Coat the last layer with oil and bend it in a baking dish to get a nicely finished burek. The intermediate layers can be filled or moistened as desired.<\/span><\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-4607-step-0-2\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\"><span style=\"display: block;\">Finish by coating it with oil and before baking, press down on the burek with hands and also poke it with a fork a couple of times.
